When things don’t go as planned…

This morning as I was teaching Sunday School, I made a comment about the perfect knowledge of God. I mentioned that God knows everything that will happen, and yet man doesn’t even know what will happen in the next minute. I gave the illustration of how our Sunday activities normally go as a family, but said that I didn’t know¬†whether that would be the case this particular Sunday. Well, wouldn’t you know that within a few miles of leaving church, we would get a flat tire on the truck. (This is not a part of our normal Sunday routine by the way!) We pull over to put the spare on which for a number of reasons took quite a bit of time. While we were doing that, Jackie and the girls got out of the truck and while waiting for us to finish, introduced themselves to the crowd of 15 or so people that had gathered to observe this spectacle. Jackie got some tracts out of the truck and was about to start handing them out, when she had the idea to involve Amelia with this. She gave them to Amelia, and Amelia handed those tracts out to all the onlookers. Since I don’t believe in chance or coincidence, I believe that God allowed us to get a flat tire at that location at that time for the purpose of having Amelia share the Gospel in tract form, to the small crowd. Praise God!

Here you go...
